A simply stunning original design to Heirloom Beds handcarved fourposter with detail to enjoy all around the bed. The posts feature readed detail with ribbon carving wrapped around from top to bottom, consider the skill and time required to do this using only hand tools.

Follow your eye up the posts you arrive at the roof section with a solid timber roof upholstered in woven silk, the surrounding frame shaped and floral carvings within their depth. This bed comes comes dis-assembled the largest piece being the silk roof this does not include the surrounding frame allowing ease of installation in your room.

One of our most recent designs a very contemporary canopy four poster bed that actually has one of the smallest footprints not taking much more space than your mattress. Stunning irresistably tactile posts rising to a solid timber roof upholstered with damask woven silk surrounded by gently contoured canopy rails.

A stunning Gothic inspired bedstead taking 13 weeks to carve the detail you see. Follow the pictures from the sturdy square feet, gothic mounted carving surrounding the bottom of the posts to the tapered sections full of gothic detail to the very top.

The roof section is a solid timber section upholstered with woven silk surrounded by decorative sides detailed with gothic clover leaf cut outs.

The bold style of church architecture seen before the 15th century is the inspiration for the Gothic four poster bed. This bed is sure to make a lasting impression with its unique style and grace and a classic centrepiece in your bedroom. Wherever the eye might be able to see at each corner corresponding carving can be found.

The detailed posts can be removed for easy installation into your bedroom utilising 12 mm narrow thread steel bolts retaining strength when re-assembled.

The walnut finished bed really does lift it away from the Gothic feel its lighter look is in contrast to dark Gothic architecture and furniture pieces you will be used to seeing, with light and bright bedding you have a fairy tale fourposter bed.

Please be aware the roof section that sits on the posts is one piece, rarely a problem as it is slim though worth checking your route to the bedroom it is destined for.

The Windsor

Windsor 1400 Count Pocket Mattress/Memory Foam (No Turn) Mattress

This is a luxury no turn mattress, designed to offer the benefit of both pocket springs and memory foam and the additional
benefits of combining them.

The mattress has a 1400 count 7" pocket spring unit (150cm/5'0" size) with a wire edge support to retain mattress shape.
For the Windsor we have used 2x900 gram textile layers which creates a slightly firmer base for the memory foam. Not the
sort of thing you can describe on a label but makes a significant difference and is a reminder of the peril of summarised
mattress specifications on labels that can not relay this type of information.

We place a 75mm deep UK manufactured memory foam layer (made near to us in Glossop) on top, this increased depth also
increase the firmness of the memory foam which incidentally has the highest stiffness rating of 16.

We then place a 350gram polyester quilted layer on top, most people have a negative view of polyester as you think of your
clothes and you would rather hear that there is silk, cashmere or wool etc is used. But this would be a large mistake -
memory foam is body heat sensitive you should not use materials that insulate it will make for a inferior sleep experience
and will promote that hot and clammy feel! You would not know we use this layer on our memory foam unless you used a knife to
remove the cotton cover. It does not insulate but does allow moisture to pass through and take away from your body
it is a fantastic material for this use.

No turn mattress 10.25" deep between seams

Pocket springs prevent roll together and allow for weight difference

Provides free flowing air circulation beneath the memory foam giving a large advantage over 'all foam mattresses' that are
prone to that hot and clammy feel we dislike so much.
Quality luxury fillings
75mm deep memory foam 60KG Density and high stiffness rating of 16 (see memory foam mattress guide) this prevents that wrap
around fight the mattress to move feeling)
Thick polyester 350 gram fine pile pad on top of memory foam this removes moisture away from your body without insulating you
against the memory foam which is why the likes of wool, cashmere, silk, etc would be an inferior choice.

memory foam giving deeper sleep and no pressure points.

A feminie yet strong bedstead with a ‘French shabby chic’ painted distressed finish style, a very feminine antique French inspired addition to our sleigh beds.

At Heirloom Beds what a bed looks like is as important as how it is made and what from. Beneath the antique cream finish as with all our beds and furniture the Belle Lille is made from seasoned and kiln dried to 8% solid Swietenia mahogany.

Hand made and carved details as well as hand finished.

From a picture on the web it is hard to appreciate what it takes to get to the finish on our beds including the Belle Lille perhaps as far as you are concerned cream is cream. We have specified an intensive build up in the finish which is detailed below, this is likely to be far more intensive than anything you are likely to find on the high street.

4.    Second cream top coat
5.    Antique finish applied
6.    Clear matt lacquer (protects the paint and gives a wipe clean surface)
