The Louis. Based upon an unquestionably French Louis period design the ‘Louis’ like all Heirloom beds has a huge ‘Wow’ factor standing tall and magnificently. It will immediately attract the eye of any one that walks into the room.
As with many beds of there period the more intricate and flamboyant design the wealthier it was deemed the family to be and often given as a wedding gift. The ‘Louis’ would certainly have sat well with those of better means.
All carving and construction is done by hand with stunning detail from the feet to the crested head and footboards using solid swietenia mahogany. The Louis takes 10 weeks to create by hand then finished with our 8 step finish (please see details from our home page).
Hand carved from solid mahogany (swietenia morphyllus - Brazilian mahogany) from sustainable plantations professionally kiln dried to 8%.
The bed comes in four parts for easy assembly in your home and subject to stock is available in both mahogany and champagne finish.
We have gone to great efforts to have our beds photographed in detail the beds you see are ours and are exactly what you will receive. We do encourage visiting our showroom but if you can not then we can send you a sample piece of wood showing you the timber and quality of our finish.
