The Heirloom French Sleigh Bed is traditionally crafted using cabinet furniture techniques, hand carved from non indigenous plantation sustainable Swietenia mahogany better known as 'Brazilian mahogany' (please see our timber page more info) you will find hand carved scrolls, curved sides, floating panels in the footboard and headboard. There are no veneers MDF or ply to be found in any part of the bed just solid hardwood.
This is a design produced to varying degrees of quality, no corners are cut in producing the Heirloom French Sleigh Bed. Our sleigh bed has the same 20 step finish taking a week to complete as with the rest of our furniture. This means the grain and character of our beds and furniture is showcased and drawn forward delivering huge ?Wow? factor and unrivalled protection of your investment for decades requiring little more care than dusting and normal household polish.
