Our ?Cambrian? is a different take on the French sleigh bed or Lits en bateaux design and is the bed that we chose for our bedroom. Beds need to be well balanced and flow in there design as part of there overall look, the Cambrian is a prime example of this.
As you look at the pictures start at each corner with the shape of the feet, their contours are followed as you cast your eye above them and around the rest of the bed as you follow the shape of the side rails. This is even present at the back of the headboard where you might expect us to stop.
Another difference you should notice is the headboard is slightly reclined as is the footboard this gives additional comfort if you sit up in bed. It also gives a more open look to the bed giving the sensation of additional space.
The Cambrian sleigh has classic simple lines but with a great deal of thought has gone into its design the Cambrian is one of our personal favourites and as with all our beds very sturdy and should outlast all of us.
