The Cambrian shown here in our walnut finish is an alternate to the French sleigh or Lits en Bateaux and is the one we chose for our room. Bed designs are at there best when they have a flow to there design, the Cambrian is a perfect example of this.
You can see this if you look first at a foot, the shape of the feet are repeated as you cast your eye either side of them and around the rest of the bed reflected in the contours of the side rails. The shape of the side rails and bottom of the footboard is even present at the back of the headboard where you may not expect.
A very important part of the design is the small recline to the foot and headboard providing extra comfort when sat up in bed which also gives a more open feel to the Cambrian.
The Cambrian sleigh has classic simple lines with a great deal of thought in its design and is a favourite of ours,as with all our beds very sturdy and made to provide many years service.
We have gone to great efforts to have our beds photographed in detail the beds you see are ours and are exactly what you will receive. We do encourage visiting our showroom but if you can not then we can send you a sample piece of wood showing you the timber and quality of our finish.
