Cambrian

The ‘Cambrian’ is an alternate to the traditional Lits en Bateaux sleigh bed and is actually the bed that we have in our master bedroom. Beds need to be proportionately balanced and flow in there design as part of there overall look, the Cambrian is a perfect example of this.

The best place to start is at each corner with the shape of the feet there contours are followed as you cast your eye above them and around the rest of the bed as you follow the shape of the side rails which is even present at the back of the headboard where you might expect others to stop.

Also the headboard is slightly reclined as is the footboard giving extra comfort when sat up in bed and a very open look to the bed.

The mattress height is slightly lower than other beds in the range and can help make a room feel bigger. With very classic simple lines but with a great deal of thought in its design the Cambrian is one of our personal favourites and like with all our beds very sturdy and made to last longer than all of us.

Finished with our unique 8 step finish taking a week to complete and made from solid mahogany of the genus swietenia morphyllus (Brazilian mahogany from sustainable plantations). Please do not confuse our finish with stained and waxed beds regardless of how much they are buffed they can not offer the same protection from dirt and moisture or appearence / wow factor!
