Please see our Mattress quality guide for in depth information regarding both reflex and memory foam where we explain what constitutes quality and how it can vary. So few manufacturers and retailers provide this information so it is impossible to determine from just density i.e. 50 or 100KG per cubic metre or depth of foam the value you are investing in. The vast majority of all foams have some level of filler and aggregate added typically chalk and / or melamine powder. This means they do not respond as effectively as pure foams and will break down quicker.
Generally the cheaper the memory foam mattress and the higher the specification the more likely you are to see foam breaking down leaving a dip in the mattress. The higher the content of filler the quicker this will happen, foam is like anything in life you get what you pay for. If highest specification and lowest price is your goal the likely hood is you will invest in poor quality and poor value.
Please note all our mattresses have no filler or aggregate and are pure UK manufactured by British Vitafoam.
